Our school football team competed in the 3rd / 4th playoff in the St Pat's Community Cup this morning. All the pupils in the school attended the match in Richmond Park: the home of St. Patrick's Athletic FC. They provided a wonderful atmosphere for our players to play in.
Canal Way ETNS were our opponents, who defeated our team 2-1 in the first round in the competition. Our team put in a heroic performance to triumph this time round 1-0. Izzy Lee from 4th Class B was our goalscoring heroine. Kate Roche McKeever made many impressive saves to keep her clean sheet.
Ailbhe Ní Chonaráin made an impressive shot block near the end of the match. Sarah Burke, Ava Malone and Sadhbh Down lead by example, as usual. I would like to thank all of the girls who particpated in the football activities throughout the year.
