The school football team played the first round of the St. Pat's Community Cup in Brickfield Park. We had a squad of 17, so we had plenty of competition for places in the 11 a side team.
Our opponents were Canal Way ETNS who were a good team. They lead at half time by a 1-0. In the 2nd half, we dominated possession. Emily Hall scored the opening goal with her trusty left foot.
With 5 mins left, midfielder Lucy Cogan scored thd 2nd goal on a counter attack. Captain Ava Malone deservedly scored the 3rd goal. Which was just as well, as Canal Way had their own chances to score.
